Shane has been a guest author at over 30 sci-fi and fantasy conventions. He has appeared in over 23 states and Canada and has given lectures at dozens of schools and colleges on how to break into the writing industry.

Shane has a vast knowledge of how the mind works and teaches students how to weave these events into their writing. He reads a small portion from his best selling fantasy novel; “A Prisoner’s Welcome” and speaks to students about the writing and the publishing process. Shane points out the dangers of what happens when the “ends justify the means” and how several characters in his book made that mistake and were taken down a deep dark path.

His background in the United States Navy, as a highly decorated twelve year police detective, and a semi pro football player make his story both fascinating and motivating.
